Warm-up
Start a new Gmail account slowly, so your real emails land in the inbox.
A new or long-unused Gmail account that suddenly sends hundreds of emails a day looks like spam to Google and to the receiving servers. Warm-up sends a few clearly labelled emails a day to inboxes you control, growing over 30 sending days, and caps your campaigns from that account meanwhile.
What it needs
- The Gmail connected in Pedibee.
- 3 to 50 inboxes you control (colleagues, other accounts of yours). They receive the warm-up emails. Ask their owners to open the emails and, if one lands in spam, move it to the inbox: that's what teaches the filters.
Start a warm-up
- Open Warm-up and pick the Gmail.
- Add the inboxes one at a time. They're kept for later warm-ups of the same account.
- Choose the schedule: which days and hours it may send, in your time zone (the default is every day, 09:00 to 21:00; at least an hour a day).
- Click Start. The first email goes out at once if the window is open.
Each warm-up email has the subject "Warm-up message", names the Gmail being warmed up, and asks the reader to open it and rescue it from spam if needed. They're never tracked.
The schedule
| Day | Emails that day |
|---|---|
| 1 | 3 |
| 2 | 5 |
| 3 | 7 |
| … | +2 a day |
| 19 onward | 40 |
Emails are spread across the rest of the day's window, at least 5 minutes apart, rotating through your inboxes. Days are counted only when the warm-up sends, so pausing stops the clock. After 30 sending days it finishes.
While it runs
Campaigns and sequences from that Gmail are capped: a small allowance on day one that grows with the warm-up. The Warm-up page and the dashboard show today's numbers. The warm-up emails count towards the account's daily limit like any other email.
You can pause (the day count stops), resume, change the schedule, add inboxes, or stop at any time. A running warm-up can't drop below 3 inboxes.
What warm-up is not
Pedibee never rotates sending addresses or domains to get past filters, and never sends to anyone who didn't opt in. Warm-up only emails the inboxes you added.
