Team and roles
Invite people to a workspace as managers or members, and what each role can do.
Each workspace has its own team. Whoever created the workspace is its owner; everyone else is a manager or a member.
What each role can do
| Member | Manager | Owner | |
|---|---|---|---|
| See everything: companies, contacts, campaigns, reports, settings | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| Add and change companies, contacts, lists, templates | ✓ | ✓ | |
| Send: one-off emails, campaigns, sequences, automations | ✓ | ✓ | |
| Connect and manage Gmail accounts, warm-up, verification | ✓ | ✓ | |
| Invite, change roles, remove people | ✓ | ✓ | |
| Create API keys and connect AI assistants | ✓ | ✓ | |
| Set up email tracking (the tracking domain) | ✓ | ||
| Rename or delete the workspace | ✓ |
Members are the read-only role: good for anyone who needs the picture without the ability to change it. Managers and the owner are equal except for tracking and the workspace itself.
Invite someone
- Settings → Team → Invite.
- Enter up to 10 work email addresses (the same rules as sign-up: no personal or disposable addresses) and pick the role.
- Each person gets an email with a link that's theirs alone. The link is also shown to you, in case you want to send it another way.
The link lasts 14 days and must be opened by someone signed in with exactly the invited address. If they don't have an account yet, they sign up first and come straight back. You can resend (a new link; the old one stops working) or revoke an invite. Up to 50 open invites per workspace.
Inviting the same person to several workspaces makes one link that joins all of them.
Changing roles and removing people
On the Team page, a manager or the owner can change anyone's role or remove them, except the owner. Removing someone, or demoting a manager to member, also withdraws the invites they sent, revokes the API keys they created, and disconnects the AI assistants they connected. Their session ends immediately.
Anyone except the owner can leave a workspace from the Team page.
The owner
A workspace has exactly one owner: whoever created it. The owner can't be demoted, removed or leave. To hand over a workspace, the owner deletes it or keeps it; there's no transfer yet.
Gmail accounts belong to the workspace, not to the person who connected them. When someone leaves, the accounts they connected stay connected and keep sending.
