Signatures
Named email signatures, one of them the default, joined to every email when it's sent.
A signature is the block at the end of your emails: name, title, company, links. Each workspace keeps up to 50 of them, and one is the default.
Create one
Go to Templates → Signatures and click New signature. Build it in the same builder as templates, or write the HTML. Mark one as the default; new templates, campaigns, sequences and one-off emails start with it.
Where it's used
| How the signature is chosen | |
|---|---|
| Template | Picked in the editor; the default is preselected. |
| Campaign | Copied from its template, or picked in the builder. Fixed once the campaign leaves draft. |
| Sequence | Picked in the sequence's settings; used on every step, replies included. |
| One-off email | Picked in Compose or the Email tab. |
| Automation | Picked in the automation's settings. |
| API / AI assistant | signatureId, or "default". |
The signature is joined when the email goes out, not saved into the email. If you change your title, every future email picks it up, while sent emails keep the record of what was actually sent.
Merge tags in signatures
Signatures take merge tags like any other content. In a one-off email, merge tags are filled only inside the signature, never in the body you typed.
Placing the unsubscribe link yourself
Campaigns, sequences and one-off emails add a standard unsubscribe line under the email. If you'd rather it sit inside your signature, link to {{unsubscribe_url}} there. The standard line is then left out, and the one-click unsubscribe header still goes on. The line's wording is set in Settings → Workspace; see Unsubscribes.
Deleting
A signature used by a scheduled, active or paused campaign, or an active or paused sequence, can't be deleted until those finish or change. Everything else using it falls back to no signature.
